About Us

EHC Cumbria was founded by Sarah Elliott, Owner and Managing Director, who has always had a deep passion for caring for others. From a young age, Sarah knew that supporting people - especially the elderly was her calling. With this passion at heart, she created EHC Cumbria to provide high-quality, compassionate care within the comfort of peoples homes.

For Sarah, the most rewarding part of this work is the incredible job satisfaction that comes with supporting the elderly. "It's not just about delivering care - it's about hearing the wonderful stories, meeting amazing people and families, and forming bonds that feel like extended family" she explains.

Under Sarah's leadership, EHC Cumbria continues to be built on compassion, trust and dedication - values that remain at the very heart of everything the team does.

Our Core Values

At EHC Cumbria, our work is guided by core values and is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure every service we provide is delivered with integrity, compassion and excellence. These values shape the way we care for our Service Users every day.

Compassion, Respect, Person-Centred Care, Reliability and Professionalism, Empowerment, Independence, Integrity, Community and Connection.

These values translate into tangible actions: our Care Team take time to listen, adapt support, offer companionship and encouragement, and ensure safety and wellbeing at all times. By living these values we deliver care that not only meets practical needs but also nurtures emotional, social and personal wellbeing.

Overcoming Challenges in Elderly Care

Caring for an elderly loved one can be rewarding, but it often comes with challenges that can feel overwhelming. At EHC Cumbria, we help families balance daily life while ensuring their loved ones receive safe, personalised care. From supporting those with dementia to managing medication, daily routines and practical tasks, our team provides compassionate assistance that preserves independence and dignity. We also offer companionship and emotional support, giving both Service Users and their families peace of mind and the confidence that their loved ones are in caring, capable hands.
